August 2007
Greetings from Ross Andrew Winery:
In 2006 we harvested
the first white grapes ever for Ross Andrew Winery: Pinot Gris
from the famed Celilo
Vineyard in the Columbia Gorge AVA (one of the greatest white grapes sites in
the Northwest).
The resulting wine has wonderfully bright (yet subtle) aromatics
of bosc pear and ginger-topped white fruit. There is incredible
balance between the crisp acidity and the slightest (barely detectable)
hint of sweetness. This wine is great on its own or with any selection
of summer fare. The official release of this wine won't be until
November, but the wine is tasting so great on these hot summer
days, we couldn't resist releasing a little now. With only 100
cases in the queue we don't expect this one to last long.
Kindest Regards,
Ross Andrew Winery
